The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in hospitals has a potential beneficial impact on clinical choice, operational effectiveness, and patient outcomes. Nevertheless, there are severe ethical, legal and operational problems, which the fast adoption of AI technologies poses. This paper addresses the manner in which AI governance structures can be applied in hospitals, particularly on the ways in which the ethics principles of transparency, accountability, fairness, and patient safety can be put into practice. It examines the existing regulatory requirements, system of organization, integration plans of workflow, identifying the quality of reality of the problems and the opportunities of efficient governance. This work is possible through the analysis of the risk-based strategy, the stakeholder engagement strategy, and monitoring systems that could be offered to the hospital administrators, policy makers and clinicians interested in the provision of the safe, credible and accountable use of AI. The findings indicate the significance of the well-designed system of governance in order to develop patient trust and advance the ethical use of AI in healthcare.
